Regulation 6 of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) 2002 states that:
(1) (a) employers should not carry out work which is liable to expose employees to substances hazardous to health until all risks have been evaluated and minimized as set downin the regulation s.
(1) (b) introduces a further requirement - to implement the steps highlighted in the assessment before commencing any work liable to expose employees to any relevant hazardous substance(s).
