Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)

CHAS is a Health and Safety pre-qualification assessment scheme that allows organisations to determine whether companies have achieved the minimum standards that are required under the scheme. This ensures that when companies submit tenders and carry out works, organisations can be satisfied that they are fully resourced, capable and compliant with the current Health and Safety legislation and with its requirements.

Local authorities, housing associations and many developers won’t consider using contractors who don’t have CHAS accreditation.  Pre-qualification ensures your consideration. The thresholds for achieving CHAS compliance are appraised by a certified CHAS Assessor, according to their legal and best practice standards.

We will provide guidance in completion of the online forms and in supplying all of the relevant documentation that is required to become accredited.
Constructionline

Constructionline

Constructionline is the UK's largest register of contractors, consultants and material suppliers for the construction industry. With over 8,000 key decision makers from over 2,800 buying organisations using Constructionline to select quality suppliers, it's a great tool to promote your services and gain access to new work opportunities.

There are three levels of accreditation available on their website. We will provide guidance in completion of the online forms and in supplying all of the relevant documentation that is required to become accreditted.
SafeContractor

SafeContractor Scheme

The SafeContractor scheme has nearly 28,000 contractor members and 370 major clients. It is the fastest growing health and safety accreditation scheme in the UK and provides a health and safety audit service for contractors who want to reassure their clients that health and safety is being handled sufficiently on their sites.

SafeContractor’s auditors review your health and safety policies, procedures and documentation, taking into consideration your trade, industry sector and business size.

Once you have signed up as a member, the next step is to become an accredited SafeContractor by successfully completing a risk assessment questionnaire. This means you won't need to submit multiple health and safety questionnaires to your clients, which, in turn, saves valuable time.

Accredited contractors can promote their SafeContractor status with their logo and van stickers; demonstrating their health and safety compliance to existing and potential clients.

Simply enrol in SafeContractor, contact us and then we’ll work with you to complete the online assessment and upload all of the legal relevant documentation required.
